WEART is a wearable tech startup established in 2018 based in Italy. This innovative startup has made various products related to robotics and haptics through the years. The brand-new development of WEART is TouchDIVER, a haptic solution that brings the sense of touch to extended reality with the help of multiple indexes like forces, vibrations, textures rendering, and Thermal, which are certain levels of hot and cold.

  • TouchDIVER is a wearable haptic glove that lets users feel tactile sensations in digital and virtual reality content. With its advanced technology, TouchDIVER is the only device on the market providing full haptic feedback, enabling users to feel every textures, force, and thermal cues they encounter in the virtual world. As a result, the device allows interaction with objects as if they were real. This groundbreaking technology has numerous applications, including VR training for safety procedures and medical scenarios, sports training and simulations, working with machinery or tools in industrial scenarios, and much more.

The glove includes three actuation points that stimulate the fingers involved in the gripping actions, and it fits both the right and left hand. User finger tracking - a pivotal element to reproduce the movements in VR while they happen in the physical world - is achieved through an innovative technology integrated into the device. This is coupled with a digital model of the human hand that reflects the movements recorded by the device. The glove also includes an SDK for integration with significant development platforms like Unity and Unreal Engine, and it is compatible with various controllers, such as Meta (Oculus Quest), Pico, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, and more, ensuring unified tracking across platforms.

TouchDIVER’s unique capability to replicate lifelike touch in digital and VR experiences makes it suitable for safety and industrial training simulations. While HMD controllers remain appropriate for specific applications where hand presence and fine motor skills play a minor role, touch plays a fundamental role in enhancing the effectiveness of the training.

By leveraging the full haptic feedback TouchDIVER provides, trainees can enter a superior level of realism. Tasks, movements, and procedures become lifelike while being carried out in risk-free environments. The device accelerates the learning curves in the learning process, and it also helps reduce education and training costs since there is no need for physical materials or equipment. In addition, it provides an immersive experience that makes learning fun and engaging while improving retention rates.

WEART has distributing partners in North America, Europe, and Australia, from hardware resellers to system integrators, and TouchDIVER is sold worldwide through an expanding network of resellers. Whether you are looking for safety training solutions or want an immersive experience for your customers or employees, join the WEART team during the I/ITSEC exhibition in Orlando from November 27th to December 1st – Booth 3511.
