    Today, Hanwha Ocean of Korea, signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with four Canadian partners for long-term cooperation on the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project:

    • The MOU with CAE (Montreal, Quebec) is related to integrated training solutions and critical operations support solutions.

    • The MOU with Modest Tree (Halifax, Nova Scotia) is related to immersive training and digital in-service support solutions.

    • The MOU with Des Nedhe Group (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is related to economic sustainability.

    • The MOU with J Squared Technologies (Ottawa, Ontario) is related to critical capabilities for sea platforms.

     

    Hanwha Ocean has delivered the KSS-III (also known as Jangbogo-3), the most capable ocean-going, diesel-electric submarine to the Republic of Korea Navy starting 2021. Jangbogo-3 is the only in-service platform that meets the Royal Canadian Navy’s operational requirements and timeline for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project.
