November, 2023 – Marietta GA, USA – Today, Immersive Display Solutions, Inc. (IDSI) a global provider of innovative display products and services for simulation & training, announced its theme for I/ITSEC 2023 Conference taking place November 27-30, 2023, in Orlando, FL. I/ITSEC is the largest defense-oriented modeling & simulation, and training conference in the world. IDSI will be showcasing its range of display solutions at its booth, #1768.
The theme for IDSI’s booth this year is “replicating reality in a digital world”. To deliver on the theme, IDSI has forged partnerships with leading technology vendors of projectors, Direct View LEDs (dvLED) and Head Mounted Displays to deliver the highest fidelity display solutions for simulation and training.
IDSI’s booth (#1768) will feature these partners as we Replicate Reality:
- Norxe: IDSI continues its longstanding partnership with Norxe with five newly announced P55 native 4K projectors to illuminate our tall vertical field of view “Pano Dome”. The P55 improves dynamic range by dimming technology for better black levels from its vivid 4K native imagery.
- Varjo: IDSI’s relationship with Varjo was established at I/ITSEC 2022 and is strengthened this year as IDSI’s mixed reality system, ChromaXR, is again in Varjo’s booth. Varjo’s Mixed Reality is a proven solution for training environment across a wide range of applications.
- Nanolumens: IDSI has announced a strategic reseller partnership with Nanolumens, the manufacturer of Nixel Flex Direct View LED (dvLED). IDSI will showcase our new VisionFlex dvLED Curve, featuring 0.9mm pixel pitch a smooth cylindrical screen (150°x40°) that achieves angular resolution that is ideal for a range of simulation applications. VisionFlex dvLED Curve offers high contrast and wide color gamut and is available in a TAA compliant package. IDSI chose to use Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada Generation GPUs to replicate reality on this industry first display.
- Zeiss: IDSI has announced a strategic reseller partnership with Zeiss. Key to the relationship is the VELVET SIM projector that provides a completely pitch-black image background with remarkable night detail and light points. The VELVET SIM’s native contrast of 2.5 million to 1 provides unique dark night imagery hundreds of times darker than any other simulation projector along with the most realistic stimulated Night Vision Goggle (NVG) training experience.
In the booth, IDSI will showcase content from longstanding Image Generator partners as well as content from new partners.
- Battlespace Simulation Inc. (BSI): Augmented Reality Mission Observation & Rehearsal (ARMOR) and Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE) from BSI will be displayed on the True Curve dvLED and the ChromaXR mixed reality system. ARMOR is based on the Unity game engine.
- Bohemia Interactive (BISim): VBS Blue IG, a high-performance, CIGI-compliant, 3D whole-earth image generator will be displayed on the Pano Dome.
- Aechelon Technology: The pC-NOVA Image Generators and Databases will be driving the Zeiss VELVET projectors on a rear-projected faceted screen.
- Blackshark.ai: Blackshark’s geospatial platform, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), extracts insights from satellite and aerial imagery and enriches them by AI to provide a photorealistic, geo-typical, or asset specific digital twin. The Blackshark data is rendered via Cesium and Unreal Engine.
