– Diamond Visionics is announcing their GenesisIG software has been selected for the U. S. Navy F-5N simulator upgrade being performed by JF Taylor, Inc. GenesisIG has the unique ability to natively render scenes directly from Navy Portable Source Initiative (NPSI) source data along with newly built airfields during runtime providing significant cost savings benefits for the customer.
Using NPSI satisfies the desire for the government to reuse visual data previously developed. NPSI datasets contain imagery, elevation, and feature data in standard GIS formats making it ideal for use with GenesisIG’s ability to load source data on the fly during runtime. This final result is a 4k resolution scene rendered at 60hz with no intermediate database (developed offline) required. A single COTS computer will drive this multi-channel image generator solution, reducing the hardware footprint for the customer.
Daniel Peters, Sales Manager of Diamond Visionics, said “We are extremely pleased to be teamed up with JF Taylor on another Navy program. We continue to strive to provide the highest quality image generation for the warfighter resulting in the most realistic visual scene available. “
Diamond Visionics, LLC is a privately held, small business based in Vestal, NY that produces cutting edge out-the-window and sensor image generation scenes directly from source data during runtime. (GenesisRTX: GenesisIG, GenesisRDR, GenesisSN, GenesisQE, GenesisEX, GenesisLunar and GenesisSDK).
