The Army Modeling & Simulation Office (AMSO) develops Army (M&S) policy, implements governance for the Army M&S Enterprise, trains, manages, educates the Army M&S Workforce to provide Trained & Ready M&S Professionals, and is the Army organization for coordinating & communicating with the SecDef, Joint community, international organizations, and academia on M&S issues. AMSO is the U.S. lead for the implementation and expansion on M&S as a Service (MSaaS), Data as a Service (DaaS), and application of Digital Engineering with supporting Army M&S Enterprise Innovation Environment.

AMSO trains, manages, and educates the Army M&S Workforce providing trained and ready modeling and simulation professionals to the force. AMSO serves as the Army’s organization for coordinating and communicating with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint community, international organizations, and academia on M&S issues. AMSO serves as both the U.S. Army’s lead agency for the Joint Staff J-7’s Joint Data Initiative (JDI) and the lead advocate for M&S as a Service (MSaaS). This year’s AMSO I/ITSEC theme is: Modernizing Army and Joint M&S Tools, Processes, and the Force in support of a Digital World.
