Making your mark in the Defence sector is not an easy task, but with a strategic approach, Ruddy Nice creates opportunities and offers expert guidance to their clients and community to collaborate and connect, which offers real results for all community members. Therefore this year at I/ITSEC sees an expansion and delivery of the Ruddy Nice International Pavilion that has brought together both larger and small companies that either would not have the opportunity to exhibit or have chosen to be on the stand as a collaborative showcase of the best of talent from around the world. Those making their I/ITSEC debut with us are Mission Decisions, Aditerna, Capita and XR 2 Lead.
Data Management, exploitation and analysis are growing challenges for our sector and to address these and more are Mission Decisions, Aditerna, Cervus, and Omnia Training Group.
If it’s the delivery of critical infrastructure to your simulation solutions like Terrain, then look no further than LuxCarta who are exploring the role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in military strategy. GIS technology is supporting the military landscape and providing strategic advantages that were once the stuff of science fiction. Enhancing situational awareness, aiding mission planning, and transforming logistics in modern warfare.
At LuxCarta, their geographic information systems use the most up-to-date imagery of the planet from the Sentinel satellite array. Our BrightEarth technology automatically converts these images into intelligence for GIS military teams – helping them to identify building footprints and vegetation, creating pop maps, and more. Our solutions also connect to leading simulation providers such as VBS4, helping create the most sophisticated and up-to-date mission rehearsal environments.
Serious Games Showcase and Challenge Europe!
In 2023, we witnessed the launch of SGSCE - Bringing emerging GameDev talent into the industry. A brand new stream of this competition gives the chance for European organisations to participate and gain recognition for their groundbreaking work in gaming.
The first year’s finalists and winners include:
GingrTech with Teamwork.Inc, to learn how to run a whole organisation in a day.
Level Ex created Cardio X, a game to educate cardiologists and other physicians on the best practices for patient care.
The Award Winners were:
Holobrand, a colocated multiplayer augmented reality business wargame, developed by the University of Applied Science Trier.
Hololens was the brainchild of the Royal School of Artillery, a mixed reality trainer to allow students to understand the fundamental concepts of Battlespace Management.
Number Station, developed by First Coding, is a puzzle game with a retro feel.
Our overall champion was Blueflame Digital with Chomp - the bite-size learning mini games for dental nurses and dental professionals. They will be at the I/ITSEC SGS&C pavilion - pay them a visit to check out their game.
