Powered by REALFeel technology, the new TRU Control Loading System provides industry-leading performance by incorporating TRU’s cutting-edge technology & innovation. The new control loader outperforms its competitors in weight, volume, torque & velocity....

  • TRU Simulation + Training® is featuring the newest version of its control loading system. Powered by REALFeel® technology, the TRU Control Loading System provides industry-leading performance in force and dynamic response by incorporating TRU’s cutting-edge technology and innovation. TRU capitalized on its existing REALFeel technology to create a control loading system with both higher fidelity and performance. This upgraded control loading system outperforms its competitors in weight, volume, torque and velocity. Some improvements made from TRU’s previous system include: a 63% reduction in foot print and a 53% reduction in weight, which makes it easier to maintain and service.  Its torque and power improved by 50%.

TRU’s new control loading system can be easily upgraded into new or existing simulators to improve fidelity and performance. Furthermore, the system incorporates the latest in brushless AC motor and position feedback technology and also accommodates all fixed wing, rotorcraft, and land-based training vehicles. The TRU Control Loading System is FAA, EASA, CAA and JAA Level compliant and offers self-diagnostic tools and real-time software backup.

The Adaptable Mission Trainer (AMT) is a low-cost, high-fidelity synthetic training environment that works with standalone operations or can be linked with multiple trainers for multi-ship operations....

  • TRU Simulation + Training is showcasing its flight training device (FTD), known as the Adaptable Mission Trainer (AMT). The AMT supports standalone operations or can be linked with multiple trainers for multi-ship operations, and train in the specific environment’s pilots will encounter while on their mission. Whether it be, Air-to-Air, Air-to-Ground, Surface-to-Air, Close Air Support, or Forward Air Controller missions, you can train in this dome, to ensure there is never a gap between training and real life. This means a more effective pilot in an aircraft cockpit before the mission ever begins.

The AMT is focused on direct and indirect fire support as well as Combat Search and Rescue, and reduces risk to ground forces and combat aviators using networked training in simulated complex environments:

    • Emphasis for Joint Air-Land Integration and Large Force Exercises through distributed mission operations to train with other virtual and constructive entities:
      • Integrates easily into USAF Joint Terminal Control Training Rehearsal System (JTCTRS)
      • USAF Combat Air Forces Distributed Mission Operations (CAFDMO) environment compatible
    • Exposure to contested (High-Threat) environments and degraded operations
    • Integration of off-board sensors and own-platform Electro-optical (EO)/infrared (IR) sensors and weapons with ground forces.
    • Next Generation Training attributes include:
      • Training effect: Drive proficiency & agility in the air, land and sea domains.
      • Mission-focused: mission rehearsal / known battle
      • Training Rigor: Reduce First pass error rates / reduction of time on task
      • Generate Readiness earlier in the deployment cycle
      • Early exposure to advanced mission training
      • Tactical Decision-making / Crew Coordination
      • Operator Retention / Attracting more millennials

TRU’s AMT offers low-cost, affordable access to high-fidelity, synthetic training environments. By doing this, we download a customer’s training needs to the most cost-effective training device necessary utilizing a modular architecture. The AMT incorporates COTS technologies into a unified training platform that can be reconfigured to meet specific training needs. Designed with a mission training focus, the AMT incorporates DIS/HLA for collective training, BSI MACE (Modern Air Combat Environment), MetaVR Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) image generation, and Collins Coalescence Mixed Reality (MR) to provide a compact footprint for deployment or squadron-level training.

New at IITSEC this year, TRU’s system differentiates itself from other training providers by merging real-world T-6/AT-6 cockpit avionics and Hands-on-Throttle and Stick (HOTAS) controls with the synthetic high-fidelity out-the-window visual environment through integration of the Coalescence Mixed-Reality System. This approach allows aircrew to continue have critical haptic feedback of cockpit switchology while maintaining the ability to take notes reinforcing proper habit patterns.  Key Benefits:

    • Enables aircrew to interact with real items in their environment while immersed in a
      virtual-reality environment
    • High immersion and engagement for better learning transfer
    • Provides training critical haptic feedback through interaction with real equipment
    • Flexible, adaptable and portable
    • Train as “near to real” as possible with a small-footprint system at a lower price than
      traditional options

The AMT provides an opportunity for joint forces to train in high-fidelity training environments individually or collaboratively increasing safety of flight, survivability, lethality and combat readiness.
