TRU Simulation + Training is showcasing its flight training device (FTD), known as the Adaptable Mission Trainer (AMT). The AMT supports standalone operations or can be linked with multiple trainers for multi-ship operations, and train in the specific environment’s pilots will encounter while on their mission. Whether it be, Air-to-Air, Air-to-Ground, Surface-to-Air, Close Air Support, or Forward Air Controller missions, you can train in this dome, to ensure there is never a gap between training and real life. This means a more effective pilot in an aircraft cockpit before the mission ever begins.
The AMT is focused on direct and indirect fire support as well as Combat Search and Rescue, and reduces risk to ground forces and combat aviators using networked training in simulated complex environments:

TRU’s AMT offers low-cost, affordable access to high-fidelity, synthetic training environments. By doing this, we download a customer’s training needs to the most cost-effective training device necessary utilizing a modular architecture. The AMT incorporates COTS technologies into a unified training platform that can be reconfigured to meet specific training needs. Designed with a mission training focus, the AMT incorporates DIS/HLA for collective training, BSI MACE (Modern Air Combat Environment), MetaVR Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) image generation, and Collins Coalescence Mixed Reality (MR) to provide a compact footprint for deployment or squadron-level training.
New at IITSEC this year, TRU’s system differentiates itself from other training providers by merging real-world T-6/AT-6 cockpit avionics and Hands-on-Throttle and Stick (HOTAS) controls with the synthetic high-fidelity out-the-window visual environment through integration of the Coalescence Mixed-Reality System. This approach allows aircrew to continue have critical haptic feedback of cockpit switchology while maintaining the ability to take notes reinforcing proper habit patterns. Key Benefits:
