In its 13th year, the Serious Games Showcase & Challenge celebrates innovations in game-based instructional technology. Business, government or student developers create games that help to solve a clearly identified problem while also providing a technologically sound, challenging and rewarding experience to the user.  Candidate games are evaluated based on three key areas: problem solving, technical quality, and playability/enjoyment. Then the finalist games are showcased during the conference. These games provide real solutions to problems that could benefit the military and others now, and in the future.
