  • StallBox Fills the Gap - StallBox provides the ability to upgrade existing flight simulators with enhanced, aircraft type-representative stall models without the need for aircraft OEM data sets or modifications to the existing baseline flight model code. This is accomplished by hosting the enhanced stall model in an external host computer (the StallBox) which requires only a lightweight code component to establish a communication link between the simulator host and StallBox.

    How StallBox Works - StallBox integrates with existing flight simulators and is responsible for data monitoring, model implementation, model blending and data augmentation. In addition, StallBox communicates with wired or wireless instructor displays. This capability provides for incorporation of the FAA-recommended instructor displays and can be accomplished by modifying an existing IOS, integrating a wired desktop display, or incorporating a wireless tablet computer that communicates with the StallBox.

  • A comprehensive, full-envelope flight model suitable for full mission simulation trainers - The aerodynamics model of the F-16 was developed by Bihrle using wind tunnel data (collected over more than two decades) and is a comprehensive, 6DOF, non-linear representation of the aircraft’s aerodynamics. It includes effects of angle-of-attack, Mach, sideslip, angular rates, individual control surfaces, stores, and landing gear, as well as flexibility effects. The aerodynamics model is physics-based and covers the entire flight envelope of the F-16 including stall, post-stall, and deep stall conditions, thereby providing customers with unique training capabilities.

    Modular Architecture - The modular design of Bihrle’s F-16 flight model allows for practical trainer life cycle support. Each significant component of the flight model was developed as an independent object that can be modified and tested individually or as part of the total simulation.   • Overview - CompARE was designed to conform with ARINC Report 436, “Guildelines for Electronic Qualification Test Guide”. With CompARE’s development environment, a user creates tests in the project hierarchy. These tests can be grouped and categorized to facilitate the organization of hundreds of tests. The test is built using scripts, functions and reference data loaded into the project repository. The scripts and functions included in a test interface with the simulation software and hardware to get/set/record data while interpolating and retrieving test parameters from the included reference data set. Upon completion of the test(s), the data is stored in a complete project-independent form, thereby allowing the user to post-process the run into onscreen plots or PDF reports.
