Cruden to demonstrate fast small ship simulator at I/ITSEC 2017
ORLANDO, FL – Cruden, the leading designer, manufacturer and integrator of training and R&D simulators, will highlight the benefits of simulators to crew training for high speed boat handling, navigation, drills and tactics scenarios at I/ITSEC 2017. On booth 313, Cruden will offer live demonstrations of its fast small ship simulator that has been developed to offer training organisations: increased hours; reduced costs; repeatable, programmable conditions and scenarios; realistic and detailed data-led AAR; and protection to trainers and trainees from physical stress.
“Cruden is already well-known as a provider of training simulators, from our background in the motorsport, automotive and aerospace industries. However, we are seeing a particular need for a highly realistic, dynamic training tool, as an addition to training at sea. This is why visitors to I/ITSEC will be able to experience something completely different this year,” says Cruden CEO, Maarten van Donselaar.
“While scenario-based simulator training is established for larger vessels, Cruden has introduced a completely new concept in the high speed boat simulator, which uses detailed modelling and motion-cueing techniques and professional image generation, to present a cost-effective solution for any training situation where motion and dynamic feedback are important factors.”
Cruden’s experts in attendance at I/ITSEC are also deeply involved in simulation, modelling and training for ground-based vehicles. As an important feature for military and law enforcement: Weapon simulation can be added as a fully integrated solution.
Cruden is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of professional training and R&D simulators, simulator components and software. Originating from Fokker Aircraft Company in the late 1990s, Cruden was formed in 2004 and today serves the automotive, motorsport and marine industries. The company’s complete simulator packages interface with any customer equipment including instruments, comms and radar. Cruden also produces geo-correct terrain databases, 3D vehicle models, and dynamic models in house. The company launched its open architecture Panthera software suite in 2015. www.cruden.com
